If adopted, H.B. 1071 would provide for protections for employees from occupational heat exposure through employer-implemented preventative measures, triggered by initial heat indices, that would include providing water, access to shade, as well as mandatory breaks, observation systems, and heat hazard alerts for dangerous conditions.
