James Perry has a background in parent organizing and community activism, and works as a Coordinator for Muslims for Social Justice in Raleigh, North Carolina. MSJ is building a base of Muslims to respond to social justice issues, Islamophobia, and racism, and strives to be a part of coalitions to build a broader movement toward changing the balance of power in the world to benefit people of color, the poor, and the working-class.
