The Mission Center on 77th and Ave. F has a food drive every first Wednesday of the month. It takes hours, but the food is usually from Whole Foods and Trader Joe's. Folks line up at 6 a.m., best arrival time by 10 a.m. Bring ID.

Las Perras Cafe is giving away grocery cards, no purchase necessary.

Food Not Bombs HTX shares food with homeless and food insecure folks at 550 McKinney St. Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday at 7:30 p.m.

Throughout November, at the West Houston Assistance Ministries facility every Monday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., food distributions will continue. Registration is required through the WHAM or Houston Food Bank websites. Participants must bring their confirmation code and photo ID to pick up food.

The National Black United Front Houston is doing a Feed the Hood food distro for the surrounding community at The Black House (2428 Southmore Blvd.) at 4 p.m.
